The smart mobility analysis tool
Turn an OpenStreetMap map into a planning instrument: accessibility, network quality, weak points and concrete measure ideas for your town.
Built on OpenStreetMap · Census 2022 grid · Accident Atlas. Every figure shows its calculation and source.
What is Avenara?
Showing the network is the easy part. Avenara combines four things that planning offices and administrations need together, so that a map turns into a basis for decisions.
Which residents reach stops, schools, doctors and shops on foot or by bike within a set time, along real streets and paths.
Cycling stress level 1 to 4 for every street, speed limits, cycle facilities, crossings and bicycle parking at stations.
School check, streets without a cycle facility that also have accidents, areas beyond the stop radius, accident clusters, stops without step-free access.
For every finding, ideas to check on site, with references to the usual guidelines. Ideas to examine, not instructions to build.
Analyses
From reach in 5, 10 and 15 minutes to accident clusters and parking. Where open data does not allow an answer, Avenara says so instead of guessing.
The difference
Many tools stop at drawing roads, lines and stops. Avenara connects the layers: who is reached, how good the network is, where it fails, and what could be done about it.
How it works
Pick the region and a municipality. Avenara takes the boundary, streets, stops and places from OpenStreetMap.
Switch layers, filter by mode, speed, route or accident type, and click any object to see its details and its source.
Use the Plan tab for weak points and measure ideas, add your own site notes, test a new stop, and export a PDF report with all calculations.
Data & transparency
Planning needs figures that can be checked. Avenara is built so that you can.
Who it is for
Planning offices for cycling, walking and school-route concepts, municipal administrations, mobility managers and everyone who prepares a decision about local transport.
